Britain wagers up to £40m on election
5 May 2010
LONDON, England -- British voters will go to the polls tomorrow, but they've already gone to the bookies in record numbers, The Guardian reported.
This election has had the most money wagered on it of any election ever, The Guardian report said.
The amount wagered is thought to be up to 40 million sterling pounds, The Guardian said.
The most popular bet at this stage is on whether or not there will be a hung parliament or an overall Tory majority, The Guardian report noted.
