Betfair critical of Germany's gambling plan

GERMANY -- Betfair has filed a complaint with the European Commission over Germany's gambling liberalisation plan, The Financial Times reported.

The jist of Betfair's complaint is that Germany's plan still protects or advantages local state monopolies, the report said.

Betfair is demanding that the EU make Germany adhere to free market principles, The Financial Times reported.
