B.C. lottery new online casino experiences glitch

21 Jul 2010

BRITISH COLUMBIA, Canada -- It has been confirmed that BC's new online casino suffered a serious glitch on its first day operating, CBC reports.

The glitch involved a security breach of 130 customers details and the site had to shutdown, CBC said.

The breach was caused by "data crossover" and exposed personal information including potentially 12 users credit card information, CBC reported.

There was enormous interest in the new casino site on its first day, which was a factor in the glitch, the report noted.

The site will not reopen until the problem is solved, CBC reported.
