Americas Cardroom sponsors Living the Dream videos

26 Oct 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Americas Cardroom is sponsoring the next series of Living the Dream poker tournament videos. For his next big poker adventure, blogger Larry Colcy, aka TheGamblogger, will be taking his video camera to the Caribbean to join a group of Americas Cardroom online poker players at the $500K GTD Punta Cana Classic.

"Living the Dream: Punta Cana 2016" videos will be available only on the Americas Cardroom blog beginning 26 October. A preview article is now available at the Americas Cardroom blog.

Living the Dream video series follow online poker players that have won their way to high stakes tournaments in exotic locations in Europe and the Caribbean. Previous series have been shot at the CPT Punta Cana, the TKPT St Maarten and CAPT Velden in Austria. More than 120 Americas Cardroom players have won their way to Punta Cana. Living the Dream videos will follow several of them over the four day tournament.

"It's a huge leap from playing online to competing in a big money international tournament like this one," said Colcy. "Some handle it well, some can't take the pressure. Fortunately, there's lots of ways to unwind on a tropical island, and those often make for great videos!"

Twitch poker guru Doug Polk will be part of the ACR entourage and will be offering his take on the tournament in the videos. Faraz Jaka, the "Homeless Millionaire" will also be travelling with the group and featured in videos. Although his career earnings are over $8 million, Jaka spends so much time travelling to poker tournaments that he finally just gave up his home and earned his nickname after a CNN documentary on his unusual lifestyle.

"Not everyone can make it to major events like this one," said ACR poker manager. "So we're glad to be able to sponsor these videos and give everyone a taste of what it's like out there on the poker tournament circuit."

Americas Cardroom is one of the biggest U.S.-facing poker rooms on the rapidly growing Winning Poker Network and welcomes players from the U.S. and around the world.
